In Episode 7 of Taproom Travelers we break into the Twin Cities beer scene to visit Tin Whiskers Brewing in St. Paul, MN. One day three electrical engineers, Jake Johnson, Jeff Moriarty, and George Kellerman, decided to quit their day jobs to open up a brewery. For that, we are forever grateful! They started out small with two brewing kits in Jake’s mom’s kitchen where they experimented with unique recipes and honed their craft. In 2011 the crew opened Tin Whiskers Brewing Co. in downtown St. Paul in a taproom only a mad electrical engineer could come up with. It comes complete with circuit board beer flights and a giant mural of a robot toasting you as you enter. With a scientific approach at the core of their business, be prepared for a well crafted drinking experience.
